Payment Policy

Non-Refundable Annual Registration Fee: $25.

Regular Classes

The tuition for regular classes is $60/month per student, payable on the first class of the month.  A late fee of $15 will apply for any tuition paid late.  We will send invoices at the end of the month as a reminder for the next month, but if for any reason you do not receive an invoice, this does not excuse paying tuition late.  Partial months will be prorated. No refunds or credits for missed classes.

Drop-In Classes

$15 per class, or $50/month pre-payment payable at the beginning of the month.  A pre-payment is only valid through the end of that month, with no refunds or credits for missed classes.

Performance Fees

Performance.  Depending on the performance, there may be a performance registration fee for the organization that is hosting the event.

Costume.  For performance, there will be a costume rental fee, and this amount can range from $15 to $25 depending on the complexity of the costume.  The exact amount will be announced closer to performance time.

Make all checks Payable to Blue Flame Productions LLC.

In the event of relocation or closure of Blue Flame Productions, Blue Flame will, at its option either (1) transfer the student agreements to a substantially similar facility which will assume this agreement or (2) provide a pro rata refund for the services not received.

Trial Class

For regular classes, the first class is considered a trial class at no charge.  For Drop-In Classes, the first class is considered a trial class, and is $5.

Referrals and Discount Policy

If a student is enrolled in more than one class, the tuition is $10/month less for additional classes after the first one.  This discount applies to regular classes (not drop-in), and DOES NOT apply to partial months.

For more than one student from the same family, the tuition is $10/month less for the additional children after the first one.  This discount applies to regular classes (not drop-in), and DOES NOT apply to partial months.

Please contact us for our current referral policy for discounts on your student's tuition.

Attendance Policy

Missed Classes.  If a student misses a class, there is no tuition refund, and no make-up class.  Please try to notify the instructor prior to class if the student will not be attending.

If a student misses mulitple classes and this affects his/her ability to perform, he/she may be removed from performances.  This is at the discretion of the instructor.

Cancellations.  If a class is cancelled by a Blue Flame instructor, a make-up class will be scheduled.  In the event that we are not able to reschedule a make-up, we will credit you what you have pre-paid on a pro-rata basis for each class cancelled by Blue Flame.

Tardiness.  If a student is tardy more than 15 minutes, he/she may be asked to sit out and only observe that class so as not to hold back the other students.  This decision is the discretion of the instructor.

Dress Code

Girls:  Must wear leggings/tights, yoga pants or loose-fitting pants with Blue Flame t-shirt.  (Absolutely no jeans, or shorts)  No large or dangling jewelry for safety reasons.

Boys:  Shorts or athletic pants with Blue Flame t-shirt.  We recommend pants to protect the knees when doing floorwork.

Hair:  tied back, away from face.

Class Structure

Students should arrive in their uniform 5-10 minutes before class.  All classes will begin with 10 minutes of warm-up and stretching, and will end with 5 minute cool-down.  We want our students to know the importance of healthy exercise and fitness habits, so they can prevent injury, protect their joints and stay in good shape throughout their lifetime.

We encourage our students to practice throughout the week, and they should incorporate the warm-up, stretching, and cool-down routine that we teach in class.

No food or drinks allowed in class other than water in a closed container.

Gossiping, bullying, harassing, disruptive behavior, or vile language will not be tolerated. Any student violating this policy will be asked to leave the class.  If inappropriate behavior continues, the student may be removed from Blue Flame classes with no refund.

Classes will be conducted with the doors closed. It is very disturbing to the students and the teachers when there is a lot of noise. To avoid distraction to the class, parents will not be permitted into the dance room.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Progress Reports

Your Blue Flame Instructor may be sending periodic progress reports to the students, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses in the areas of:

  • Conduct in class
  • Attitude and willingness to learn
  • Technique
  • Energy
  • Expression
  • Memory

Video Policy

For some classes, we have implemented a video feedback system by video-recording periodic classes throughout the semester to view progress and to provide a video for the student to practice with.  This video is uploaded on YouTube as a private link available only to the students or parents.  You will not need an account to view this link.  At the end of the semester, we remove the videos and they are no longer viewable.

No cameras are allowed in any Blue Flame classes or rehearsals.  Only Blue Flame Staff is authorized to video record or photograph during Blue Flame activities, other than performances.
